"Unclassified" Category in Qouta

Dear Benno,

I am conducting bot simulation testing before deploying my survey. I have set up multiple quota segments, including:

  • 8 state segments in Australia (e.g., NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT, etc.)

  • 3 gender segments (e.g., Sex_male, Sex_female, Sex_others)

  • 8 interlocking age × disability segments (e.g., Age_50_64_disabled, Age_85_not_disabled, etc.)

Please see the attached screenshot.

I am unsure what the “Unclassified” category in the Activity panel represents. At the moment, it appears that all completed bot responses are being classified as “Unclassified”.

I am concerned that I may have configured something incorrectly and do not want eligible respondents to be unintentionally screened out due to overquota issues associated with the “Unclassified” category, as I am required to set the quota for “Unclassified” section.

Could you please provide guidance on this matter?

Best regards,

Arkar

Unclassified - just means these are people you haven’t assigned explicitly to a segement.
In your survey it looks like you may have missed classifying people - or you may have changed your classification rule partway through, or maybe that’s how you want it.
It also operates as a catchall master quota - so this should really be as high as the total number of respondents you wish to capture.
Without knowing your study aims it’s hared to say.
All you can do is look at the data and see who is unclassified and why.
