What is the meaning of a scenario in sample size estimate?
A scenario is a choice task that you show to a respondent. The more choice tasks you show to each respondent the fewer respondents you are going to need (statistically). Note that the example sample estimates provided on the Ngene result screen are simply the estimate for 1 scenario divided by the number of scenarios. Hence, it is easy for you to calculate a sample estimate for a number of scenarios which is not on the list.
And how can I change the number of rows for a given experiment?
On the Ngene settings screen there is a button “Rows” in the top left corner. In the dialog that opens when you click that button you can select the minimal number of rows, the recommended number of rows, or you can enter your own number.
