Working with Qualtrics for survey panel. In case of screen out - the participant lands on completion passback landing page instead of screen out passback landing page. How can we fix this?
A little understanding of how passbacks work, across the industry is necessary.
A passback is a very limited way of two survey systems communicating about respondent status.
There is really only 2 pieces of informaiton that needs to be passed -
Who the person is and what the status is.
Usually there are only 2 status’s of interest
COMPLETE
SCREENED OUT
So with the respondent and the reported status - the panel can work out who to pay for their time. This id is provided by the panel with the invitiation link as something like id=12345 or sid =12234. When you set up your invitation you can tell SurveyEngine what the parameter name is (either id or pid in this cae)
There are sometimes also over quota and quality screenouts.
So if you are dealing with a panel in surveyengine - they will give you usually 3 passback links PLEASE NOT - these always differ from each other and need to as this is how the status is worked out.
You then paste these into your invitation and surveyengine will send the respondent is as using the same parameter name.
So things to check if this is not working.
- Are you capturing the correct inbound id from the panel
- did the panel give you 3 distinct pasback links
- is the panel’s outbound id the same as their inbound
