I have a DCE in three separate language versions (NL, FR, EN). Each respondent should complete 5 main choice tasks, followed by 1 dominant choice task, which should always appear last.
The 5 main choice tasks are displayed on separate pages and allocated using scenario offsets ($design_offset + 1 to $design_offset + 5). The attribute order is also randomised per respondent.
My problem is that when I enable SurveyEngine’s page randomiser to randomise the order of the 5 task pages, it also seems to disrupt the number of tasks displayed. In the preview, respondents do not consistently receive all 5 main choice tasks: some see only 2, 3 or 4 before being redirected to the dominant task or the next section. Without page randomisation, all 5 tasks are displayed correctly.
How can I randomise the order of the 5 main choice task pages while ensuring that all 5 tasks are always displayed exactly once, with the dominant task always appearing sixth? Is there a recommended way to achieve this using SurveyEngine’s built-in page randomiser, especially when using separate language branches?
